With both brand and agency expertise, Kim has nearly 15 years in brand strategy, integrated marketing, digital content, creative production, campaign development, and leading talented creative teams.
Born in California, bred in Georgia, fled to London and based in Brooklyn, she has followed her passion for building disruptive brands through storytelling around the world.
Kim is currently the SVP of Brand & Content at Cann Social Tonics — the #1 THC drink in America, which was voted 2022 Cannabis Brand of the Year and named a Top 50 Foremost brand. After advising for the brand from the start, she officially joined full-time in 2022 to elevate the Cann brand from cannabis industry darling to a beloved DTC beverage brand.
In less than a year, under her creative leadership, Kim and her team produce award-winning content and campaigns including the Cann x Jane “Taste So Good” Pride campaign and “Cann-Do Holiday” campaign, which she co-creative directed alongside Director Lake Bell. In 2022 alone, she helped bring home 14 Clio Awards, including three golds. Both a creative executive and executor, Kim also fuels product innovation by creating two new brands for the Cann + Botl portfolio.
Prior to Cann, Kim oversaw brand strategy at Rent the Runway, the leading subscription rental service that disrupted the trillion-dollar fashion industry by pioneering the closet in the cloud. Her work helped propel the woman-owned and operated business to public offering in October 2021 — the first ever IPO with a female CEO, CFO and COO.
A multifaceted leader, her portfolio of work empowers leading fashion, retail, CPG and DTC brands, including Target, La Prairie Skincare, Kellogg's, Barneys New York , GE and more.
Kim graduated with honors from Stanford University, where she studied communication and creative writing.
